Malaysia wins Mister National Universe 2023

The doctor is out, and the pageant king is in!

Congratulations to Benedict Yu of Malaysia for winning Mister National Universe 2023. A 28-year-old Medical Doctor from Kota Kinabalu, he becomes the first Malaysian to take home the crown. He also claimed the ‘Mister Popular’ and ‘Mister Flawless Skin’ titles, two of seven special awards presented at the event.

“All for Malaysia, we did it! I am so happy… thank you, I could not have done it without you guys,” he said in a clip posted on Bachelor of Malaysia’s (BOM) Instagram.

Besting out 21 other candidates for the title, the pageant’s coronation took place on June 27 at the Amari Watergate Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
